How to Get Involved: Partnership Roles

Team Coaches
Team coaches play a pivotal role in mentoring groups of seven students, guiding them in developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to address real-world challenges. They facilitate discussions, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to timelines. Moreover, they cultivate an environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and skill development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 7 participants in developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to solve a real-world problem
- Provide feedback and constructive criticism
- Facilitate discussions and brainstorming sessions to foster creativity and collaboration
- Ensure that the team adheres to the bootcamp’s timeline and meets all project milestones
- Provide mentorship and support to team members to develop their skills and abilities
- Collaborate with other coaches, trainers, and experts to provide a holistic learning experience to the participants
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in a relevant field with minimum 5 years of experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and project management tools
Commitment:
- 5-7 hours / week, including the weekly sessions
Session Experts
Session experts are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate individuals in their fields. They provide valuable support and guidance to teams during Innovation Challenge sessions, offering insights and advice to help develop initial solution ideas and prototypes.

Responsibilities:
- Provide pointed support based on expertise for the team’s initial solution ideas
- Be available to be interviewed by each team on their prototype
- Be available for interviews by each team regarding their prototype
- Provide development and implementation support to teams based on expertise
- No preparation or presentation of material required
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field or related discipline
- Several years of relevant work experience in the industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in the specific area they will be presenting on, including familiarity with industry trends, tools, and best practices
Commitment:
- Required to attend the second hour of the weekly session
- Optional to attend the first hour of the weekly session

Speakers
Session speakers present curated topics to a group of up to 21 participants for approximately one hour. They play a crucial role in providing insights, offering practical advice, and fostering learning and growth to support participants’ career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a review of soft and hard skills that are necessary to succeed in the business world
- Present the pre-selected topic clearly and engagingly
- Share insights and practical advice relevant to the topic
Requirements:
- Expertise in the topic being covered, with relevant education, training, and work experience
- Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in your field, with the ability to share insights and practical advice
- Provide support for the bootcamp team and participants
Commitment:
- Attend one session to present an engaging, interactive and experiential presentation format
- Present a specific pre-selected topic for no more than 1 hour
Judges
Innovation Challenge judges play a vital role in evaluating student pitches, engaging teams with questions, and ultimately, selecting a winning team.

Responsibilities:
- Listen to the students pitch, typically lasting ~20 minutes each
- Spend 10 minutes asking questions for each team to gather additional insights
- Choose a winning a team based on the criteria provided
Requirements:
- Experience in the relevant industry (minimum 1 year)
- Deep understanding of business and entrepreneurial skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to participants
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Impartiality and fairness in judgment
Commitment:
- Review the deliverables (1-2 hours)
- Required attendance for the full duration of Pitch Fest (~3 hours)
